S&L Materials Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of Safety Coordinator. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment by monitoring compliance with traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety procedures. This role supports the Safety Department in identifying risks, reviewing driving events, coordinating coaching, and assisting in accident/incident investigations. Position dedicated to the development, implementation, and promotion of a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment for a Central Florida based contractor specializing in site development, underground utilities, and bridge/highway contracts throughout Florida. Our company is rapidly growing with opportunity for future career development and advancement. - Review driving events to identify safety violations and potential risks.
- Assign coaching when necessary to improve safety performance.
- Retrieve and manage accident/incident video Retrieval.
- Coordinate safety-related activities and reporting with the Trucking Safety Manager.
- Assist the Safety Department with additional tasks as required.

satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or
ability required.
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Possess/maintain a valid State driver's license.
- Must be flexible to work variable shifts, and some Saturdays
- Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during irregular operation
- Basic computer skills with some competency in Microsoft word/excel
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with drivers and management to promote a safety-first culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) Preferred, but not required
